BD's BrakeLoc connects to the EBPV control wire, turning the factory valve into an electronically-controlled exhaust brake. Note that, because the EBPV is activated hydraulically, there is typically a 2-3 second delay between the time the valve is actuated and engine retarding occurs. While the BrakeLoc is an economical alternative to an exhaust brake, it is NOT intended as a substitute. For quicker, more effective braking, we recommend a BD exhaust brake system, which utilizes our Variable Orifice Technology, and won't stick like the stock EPB valve can. Features: Cost effective solution of engine retarding for towing with the Ford PowerStroke by utilizing the OEM Exhaust Back Pressure (EBP) valve Commands the EBP valve to activate to act as an engine brake For more efficient retarding use or medium to heavy loads use BD Exhaust Brake 2033143, 2023144, 1037143 or 1027144

Brand: BD Diesel
Manufacturer part number: 1030755

Confirm your application

Check the manufacturer part number and application notes against your vehicle and existing modifications.
